Bloomin'

I took a walk around my yard yesterday in the heat and wind to see what is blooming. The neighbors have peonies which are opening up. My next-door neighbor has clematis which was originally a gift to his wife from her children. She is deceased.

My cheddar pinks are starting to die back a bit, but still look nice. I noticed they have a nice smell. Irises also opening up.

I usually buy a potted geranium for the front porch, but I decided to just get something small. Since I may not be able to water and care for it, I just bought a small pot of impatiens and coleus so that if it dies I am not out a lot of money.

I have spinal fusion surgery tomorrow at 8 a.m. I need to go to bed in the next hour or two. It may be hard to sleep because of the light coming through the windows. This will probably be the last post for awhile. Enjoy Memorial Day.
